£80,000,000

£80 million were paid to Manchester United to retrieve Ballon D'Or Winner, Cristiano Ronaldo. Now playing for Real Madrid, he is one of the world's best player still playing.

£31,000,000

£31 million was the record Manchester United transfer. Paid for Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham, they only recieved £4 million pounds when they sold him to Fulham. However, he did play well for United. The Golden Boot winner of 2010, he was worth the money paid for him in my opinion

£172,000,000

£172 million was the net spending of Manchester United in the past 10 years. This states that United have done quite well in the transfer market, generally gaining enough money to support the transfers they make.

United have always done well in the transfer market. Without spending too much money, they have come out with teams that have dominated english football. Even though not all of their players that have been bought accumulated more than the transfer fee paid when sold, they have made bargains on more than one occasion.Supporting this, they have sold the 2nd most expensive player of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo. Although some of their players they have sold could have been used in later campaigns, Manchester United do extremely well for the funds given to them
