Prioritize self-care
What do you love to do? Listen to music, have fun with your family or go for a walk? Plan an adventure perhaps? Color a book? Whatever you love to do, just carve out some time and go ahead and do it. It is your time to live life. Get a good night’ s sleep and have nutritious meals.
Flexible working hours
A lot of organizations are embracing flexible working hours. If working from home is an option, take it up. It will give you a different environment which is less stressful and allows you to deliver on required tasks. Local arrangements with your team leader are a good way to embrace this method of working.
Taking breaks
You can take frequent breaks throughout the day to give your brain a chance to rest. You can also make use of vacation days and go on leave. When you do go on leave, make sure you have done a good handover and stay away from your email during those days. I guarantee you nothing will burn down. Take a break from social media too.
Work Culture Different organizations have different
Different organizations have different cultures. If you happen to be working for an organization that has a culture of negativity and toxicity, then be positive and have a positive mindset. Don’ t allow gossip and toxicity to eat you up. Stay away from complainers and whiners as you plan your next career move.

Strong Support System
Find yourself a good mentor who can help you navigate the workplace burnout. Talking to someone who may have gone through it, will give you a perspective on how to navigate the problem. You can also speak to a trusted friend or a counsellor. Do not share personal information with your colleagues, no matter how trustworthy they may seem.
With good awareness and understanding of burnout, you can take control of your life and make it as interesting and fulfilling as possible. Do remember, you can always say NO to anything you don’ t want to do. It might feel uncomfortable to say it, but it means putting yourself and your needs first.
Wishing you a lovely festive season and see you in 2025!!
