Page 40 Survey of Muslims - Control Group CATI Fieldwork : 5th - 7th June 2015 Absolutes/col percents Table 31 QS1. I'd now like to get your feelings towards a number of different religious groups. I'll read the name of a group and I'd like you to rate your feelings to that group between 0 and 100 using something we call the feeling thermometer. Ratings between 50 degrees and 100 degrees mean that you feel favourable and warm toward the group. Ratings between 0 degrees and 50 degrees mean that you don't feel favourable and don't care too much for that group. You would rate the group at the 50 degree mark if you don't feel particularly warm or cold toward the group. Feel free to use the entire extent of the scale. - Protestant people (including Church of England, Church of Scotland, Anglican, Methodist, and others) Base: All respondents Gender Total Male (a) Age Female (b) 18-24 (d) 25-34 (e) 35-44 (f) Class 45-54 (g) 55-64 (h) 65+ (i) AB (j) C1 (k) Region C2 (l) DE (m) Scotland (n) North East (o) North West (p) Yorkshire & Humberside (q) West Midlands (r) East Midlands (s) Wales (t) Eastern (u) London (v) South East (w) South West (x) Unweighted base 1008 517 491 85 152 167 183 158 263 411 203 158 236 93 41 105 92 94 70 53 99 136 134 91 Weighted base 1008 491 517 117* 175 165 180 145 226 271 271 220 246 88* 42* 116* 86* 91* 75* 51* 98* 133 141 89* 21 24% 18 20% 22 30% 11 21% 24 24% 28 21% 33 23% 17 19% 10 7% 3 4% 91-100 246 24% 102 21% 144 28%A 24 20% 41 24% 34 20% 43 24% 35 24% 81-90 60 6% 27 6% 33 6% 5 4% 10 6% 18 11%dI 11 6% 8 5% 71-80 148 15% 83 17%b 65 13% 16 14% 24 14% 15 9% 27 15% 61-70 67 7% 35 7% 32 6% 16 10 14%EFGI 6% 8 5% 51-60 54 5% 33 7%b 21 4% 15 6 13%EFgH 3% I 6 4% 41-50 366 36% 169 34% 198 38% 27 23% 74 42%Di 31-40 15 1% 9 2% 6 1% 2 1% 2 1% 4 3%G - 3 2%g 21-30 11 1% 7 1% 4 1% 3 2% 3 2% 1 1% 3 2% 11-20 8 1% 6 1% 2 * 2 2%i 1 * 1 * 0-10 33 3% 19 4% 14 3% 7 6% 4 2% NET: 51-100 575 57% 281 57% 294 57% 76 65%eF NET: 50 - Neither / Nor 360 36% 166 34% 194 38% 29 6% NET: 0-49 73 7% 44 9%b 70 31%dF 9 4% 66 24% 71 26% 50 23% 58 24% 26 30% 16 31 38%RVw 27% X 24 9%KL 11 4% 9 4% 16 6% 8 9% 2 5% 8 7% 5 6% 9 10%s 2 2% 4 7% 5 5% 5 4% 5 12% 22 19%rU 11 13% 9 10% 16 21%rU 8 15% 8 9% 19 14% 17 6 13%NpW 4% 31 22%eF 34 15%f 42 15% 44 16% 34 16% 29 12% 11 12% 8 4% 10 7% 15 6% 18 6% 24 9% 12 6% 13 5% 1 1% 4 9%N 6 5% 5 6% 6 6%n 7 10%N 3 5% 8 8%N 11 6% 4 3% 12 5% 14 5% 10 4% 18 8%k 12 5% 2 2% - 8 7% 4 5% 5 6% 4 5% 3 6% 3 3% 49 33% 74 33% 93 34% 98 36% 82 37% 94 38% 34 39%p 13 30% 31 27% 31 36% 22 29% 23 45%P 4 2%g 4 2% 4 1% 4 2% 3 1% 3 4%w 2 4% 2 2% 2 2% - 1 * 2 1% 1 * 3 1% 5 2%k 1 1% - * * 5 * 6%nPrs * tUVw 3 2%I 1 1% - 2 1% 4 1% - 2 1% - - 1 1% - 7 4% 3 2% 4 3% 7 3% 6 2% 6 2% 7 3% 2 3% 1 2% 6 6% 91 52% 80 49% 99 55% 89 61%F 159 59% 124 56% 128 52% 47 54% 27 64% 27 23% 71 41%D 71 43%Di 68 38%D 49 33% 74 33% 92 34% 95 35% 80 37% 93 38% 33 37% 13 11%i 12 7% 14 9% 12 7% 8 6% 13 6% 16 6% 17 6% 15 7% 24 10%j 8 9%t 72 71 43%DhI 39%D 139 164 62%eF 60%m 13 5%J Proportions/Means: Columns Tested (5%, 10% risk level) - a/b - c/d/e/f/g/h/i - j/k/l/m - n/o/p/q/r/s/t/u/v/w/x/y Overlap formulae used. * small base; ** very small base (under 30) ineligible for sig testing Prepared for Channel 4 and Juniper by ICM 39 43%Ps 3 3% 29 20%rU 11 12% 6 7%n 5 4% 8 6% 13 14%NOqrsUVW 46 48 47%PSW 36% 46 33% 34 38% - - 1 1% 2 2% 1 * * * - - - - 2 1% 3 3%v - 2 3% - 1 1% 1 1% 3 2% - 2 2% 2 2% 1 1% 1 1% 3 3% 8 6% 4 3% 3 3% 74 64%rU 46 54% 47 51% 50 67%rU 28 54% 47 49% 74 56% 86 61%u 49 55% 13 30% 31 27% 30 35% 38 42%P 22 29% 23 45%P 46 48 47%PSW 36% 45 32% 31 35% 2 5% 10 9%t 10 11%sT 6 6% 3 4% 1 1% 10 7% 8 9%t 5 5% 10 8%
