I'll read the name of a group and I'd like you to rate your feelings to that group between 0 and 100 using something we call the feeling thermometer. Ratings between 50 degrees and 100 degrees mean that you feel favourable and warm toward the group. Ratings between 0 degrees and 50 degrees mean that you don't feel favourable and don't care too much for that group. You would rate the group at the 50 degree mark if you don't feel particularly warm or cold toward the group. Feel free to use the entire extent of the scale. - Buddhist people Base: All respondents Gender Total Male (a) Age Female (b) 18-24 (d) 25-34 (e) 35-44 (f) Class 45-54 (g) 55-64 (h) 65+ (i) AB (j) C1 (k) Region C2 (l) DE (m) Scotland (n) North East (o) North West (p) Yorkshire & Humberside (q) West Midlands (r) East Midlands (s) Wales (t) Eastern (u) London (v) South East (w) South West (x) Unweighted base 1008 517 491 85 152 167 183 158 263 411 203 158 236 93 41 105 92 94 70 53 99 136 134 91 Weighted base 1008 491 517 117* 175 165 180 145 226 271 271 220 246 88* 42* 116* 86* 91* 75* 51* 98* 133 141 89* 22 25%rTX 12 14% 11 14% 91-100 184 18% 79 16% 106 20%a 21 18% 37 21%I 31 19% 34 19% 32 22%I 30 13% 81-90 57 6% 24 5% 33 6% 11 9%I 9 5% 13 8%I 12 7%i 7 5% 6 3% 71-80 135 13% 80 16%B 56 11% 19 16% 31 18%Fi 15 9% 23 13% 23 16%f 61-70 75 7% 37 8% 38 7% 15 13%Eh 6 3% 17 10%E 11 6% 51-60 80 8% 48 10%B 31 6% 10 9% 19 11% 9 6% 41-50 396 39% 181 37% 216 42% 33 28% 70 40%d 66 40% 31-40 18 2% 11 2% 8 2% 1 1% 1 1% 8 5%EGh 21-30 12 1% 5 1% 7 1% - 1 1% 11-20 8 1% 3 1% 5 1% 4 4%EFI 0-10 41 4% 24 5% 18 3% 3 2% NET: 51-100 532 53% 268 55% 264 51% 76 102 65%fGI 58%I 85 51% 90 50% 82 57%I NET: 50 - Neither / Nor 393 39% 178 36% 215 42% 33 28% 68 39% 64 39% 73 40%d 52 35% 83 8% 45 9% 38 7% 8 7% 4 2% 17 10%E 17 9%E 12 8%E NET: 0-49 60 22%Lm 56 21%l 30 14% 38 16% 26 11 10%KM 4% 14 6%m 24 11% 41 15%m 47 17%lM 23 10% 24 10% 13 14% 8 6% 19 8%e 22 8% 25 9% 14 6% 14 6% 10 5% 12 8% 19 9% 16 6% 23 9% 24 11%j 17 7% 73 40%d 52 35% 103 46%Dh 97 36% 93 34% 95 43%k - 1 1% 7 3%G 3 1% 2 1% - 5 3%F 1 1% 4 2%f 2 1% - - 3 2%i 1 1% - 1 * - 7 4%E 9 5%E 8 5%E 15 6%E 98 43% 3 1% 1 1% 5 5% 6 5% 29 20%T 9 11% 11 12% 11 15% 8 16% 8 8% 19 14% 21 15% 11 12% 5 6% 2 4% 12 10% 3 4% 6 6% 6 8% 4 8% 6 7% 13 10% 9 6% 9 10% 4 4% 2 4% 12 10%w 4 5% 8 8% 5 6% 4 7% 5 4% 12 14%NqW 112 46%JK 32 37% 18 43% 36 31% 36 42% 37 41% 30 40% 26 50%P 6 3% 7 3%k 1 1% - 3 3% 2 2% 3 4% 2 3% 2 1% 3 1% 5 2% 1 1% - * * - 2 1% - 5 2%jl - - - - 17 7%J 3 4% - 8 7% 99 40% 50 57%t 24 57% 11 14 12%nW 10%w 12 8%oQt 10 12% 15 13% 8 8%oQ 43 44%p 51 38% 53 37% 34 38% - 2 2% 1 * 2 2% 1 1% 1 2% - 1 2% - 2 2% - - - - 1 1% 2 2% 4 3% 1 1% 3 4% 3 4% 3 4% 5 3 10%OWx 4% 6 4% 3 2% 2 2% 68 59%qT 39 46% 47 52% 38 51% 20 39% 47 48% 73 55%t 77 54%t 50 57%t 26 50%P 43 44%p 51 38% 53 37% 33 37% 8 8% 9 7% 12 8% 6 7% 5 6%PRtV wX 103 46%Dh 96 35% 93 34% 93 42% 111 45%JK 32 37% 17 40% 36 31% 35 41% 37 41% 30 40% 25 11%E 10 4% 15 6% 22 10%J 36 14%JK 6 6% 1 3% 12 10% 11 13%o 7 7% 7 9% Proportions/Means: Columns Tested (5%, 10% risk level) - a/b - c/d/e/f/g/h/i - j/k/l/m - n/o/p/q/r/s/t/u/v/w/x/y Overlap formulae used. * small base; ** very small base (under 30) ineligible for sig testing Prepared for Channel 4 and Juniper by ICM 10 6 11%OpQT 8%oQ 21 16% 8 20%u 165 163 105 61%LM 60%LM 48% - 16 16% 1 1% 12 5%J 5 5%q 4 7% 5 4% 10 4%j 6 2% 23 13 24 27%RsT 30%RsT 21%T vX uvX 5 10%
