We are now at 155 members – still a long way from the 250 with which we ended in February 2013. Those of you who has not yet renewed, can now make use of the WGSA council’ s offer of a 25 % discount. workshop where writers who are stuck with their scripts can find help by discussing their problems with their peers and a WGSA editor in a creatively safe environment. Please let us know whether you are interested in such a workshop, or whether the reason for the lack of attendance was the particular date.

Johannesburg: We scheduled a Script-Flip session for 6 July, but did not get enough attendees and had to cancel the session. A Script-Flip session is

Johannesburg: On 27 July WGSA hosted a session with Rory Downing on how to obtain development funding. Yolanda Mogatusi attended the session and suggested that we take this session on the road to all provinces. Yolanda, we will try our utmost!
Cape Town: Hosted their first workshop on 6 July with Savo Tufegdzic – the Ambic way of script development. This is what Bongani Yona, who attended the session, had to say about this workshop:

Durban: On 1 July WGSA’ s Giselle Turner entertained the Durban crowd with some excerpts from her plays.
