DEADLINE: 16 November 2013 ENTRY FEE: Free for everyone
The goal of PAFF is to present and showcase the broad spectrum of Black creative works, particularly those that reinforce positive images, help to destroy negative stereotypes and depict an expanded vision of the Black experience.

7 – 14 November 2013

DEADLINE: 16 August 2013 ENTRY FEE: $ 50- $ 70
Filmmakers are invited to submit narrative, documentary, experimental, animated and short films. The Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences recognizes the AFI Festival as a qualifying festival for the short films category of the annual Academy Awards.

16 – 26 January 2014

DEADLINE: 10 September 2013 ENTRY FEE: $ 40- $ 60
Widely considered the premier platform for American and international independent film, the Festival has introduced audiences to some of the most original stories of the last three decades including Reservoir Dogs, American and An Inconvenient Truth.
