Our vibrant and professional staff has taken the challenges that have come their way in 2016 and thus ensured that your daughters enjoyed the best that Wynberg has to offer.
We welcomed Miss Schenck and Miss Hermanus to the learnership programme at the start of the year. It is wonderful to watch them along with Mrs Kester, Miss Edge, Miss Adams and Miss Young gain experience, and build confidence in so many teaching and learning opportunities.
At the end of Term 1 we said farewell to Mrs Marais and Mrs Beyers. In their places we welcomed Miss Jaipal, new to Wynberg, to Grade 5 and Mrs Bassett, having completed her studies, was appointed to Grade 4. Miss Jackson and Miss Witney also took up the call to expand their horizons with overseas postings and we are thankful to Mrs McAlister
and Ms Southey for stepping into their shoes and ensuring a smooth transition for Grade 2A and Grade 1B. Our music department welcomed the talented Miss Vollenhoven and Miss Peters to their fold. Congratulations to Miss Emkie for being appointed to the Uniform Shop.
We thanked Miss Gabi Rossouw for her contribution to the Senior Aftercare and wished her well as she embarked on a new career option. We bid farewell to Miss Malherbe at the end of Term 4.
Mr and Mrs Schenck were surprised with the wonderful announcement of the arrival of her adopted son, Jeremy, early in Term 3. Miss Proudfoot stepped in at short notice and ensured that Grade 7A learners were kept on their toes.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs McFarlane who will be welcoming an addition to their family in December 2016.
