Grade 3 Adventures
Grade 3 Adventures
This year has been filled with many happy memories for everyone. It has also been a year of challenges, but we have learnt different lessons from all of them. The first one we faced was getting used to the long days, having to work until 14h40 every day! When we look back now we realise how many fun lessons we would have missed out on if we had not been at school for that extra time.
Grade 3
We are grateful to our teachers who planned exciting lessons and taught us about so many different topics. We got to learn about extremely interesting things and have many experiences we will never forget. Going to SANCCOB was definitely a highlight for all of us. Each class was lucky enough to adopt two penguins that we can now call our own. Maybe one day when we are in Simon’ s Town we will see our penguins waddling along the beach.
We then learnt all about China and the different foods, traditions and clothing. We got to pack a Chinese lunch and dress up to celebrate our very own China Day. It was wonderful to see all of the different outfits.
In the third term we spent some time learning about deep and dangerous sea creatures. We had the privilege of spending the morning at Save Our Seas where we learnt lots of new and interesting things about sharks as well as all the creatures that live in rock pools. We went over the road to Dalebrook tidal pool and looked at all the things we had learnt about. We got to hold lots of the different creatures. This was definitely a highlight of our school year.
