Te n n i s The focus this year has been on actively growing our tennis community within WGJS. Tennis proved to be a popular choice during Life Orientation Sports Hour and a number of our learners were exposed to tennis for the first time. The response has been extremely positive and we will be continuing with tennis in the future. This year, we entered two teams into the tennis league and sent a tennis team to the All Girls Festival. They had some aces up their sleeves and played very well. It is clear that our learners are doing WGJS a great service and have improved in leaps and bounds and are beginning to produce some very good tennis. A special mention goes to our U11 tennis team, who ended the league unbeaten. They have ensured that WGJS moves up a league and we are very proud of their achievements. The ball is in their court to do equally well next season! Mrs Colleen Reed 80
