Drama
The Grade 7 drama club have had the most incredible
experience this year. They have been part of the Shakespeare
for Schools Festival and showed their impressive dramatic
talent in a funtastic production of William Shakespeare’s
Much Ado About Nothing.
There certainly was ‘much ado’, but
‘nothing’ it absolutely was not. From
professional
workshops
being
hosted at the school and at the
Baxter Theatre to full dressing room
experiences – that’s right – ‘Lights,
Camera, and Action!”. They had full
dress rehearsals, lighting checks,
company warm-ups and all that jazz!
There was love, i.e. our dressing room
neighbours, there was loss, i.e. losing our minds
with excitement, and ultimately a special time bonding with
our friends. What an incredible journey – we can’t wait for
next year’s production … to be or not to be … that is the
question? Easy answer … to be!
