Divineguma, the government's largest social safety net programme, using its nationwide community-based banks
for efficient cash transfer to meet the food needs of affected people. A lessons learned workshop on using the
government's safety net programme to respond to the emergency produced a number of recommendations to better
respond to emergencies in future.
