Operational Partnerships
WFP worked with the United Nations Country Team under the leadership of the Resident Coordinator contributing
to the development of the United Nations Partnership for Development Framework (UNPDF) 2016-2020. Together
with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), WFP spearheaded a United Nations focus
group on El NiƱo to monitor the evolving situation and coordinate support from United Nations agencies. Together
with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), WFP co-chaired the United Nations Working Group on Nutrition
and remained an active member of the Donor and United Nations Network for the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN)
movement. In addition, WFP collaborated closely with United Nations Global Pulse on the use of data and
innovation for development. Through the latter's local office, Pulse Lab Jakarta, WFP tested the feasibility of using
innovative techniques to monitor food prices in rural Indonesia through pilot studies in Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB)
and Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) provinces.
Strategic Objective: Reduce risk and enable people, communities and countries to meet their own food and
