What advice would you give to new members of the WPA to maximize the benefits of their membership?

My best advice for new WPA members is to get involved and stay curious. Attend the events, participate in discussions, and connect with other members ,even if you’re new or unsure where to start.

When I first became active, several members went out of their way to help me get acquainted with the association. I’m especially grateful to  Glenn Meeks, Executive Vice President of the WPA,  Emily Clark  from  Zira, and  Magaly Melchor  from  M&J Pallets Recycling. Their openness, support, and encouragement made me feel truly welcomed and helped me understand how valuable this network can be.

There’s so much to learn from the experience and generosity of this community. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or seek mentorship ,everyone here started somewhere. The more you put into your membership, the more you’ll gain from it.

The WPA opened doors I didn’t know existed , it connected me to a community that believes in growth, collaboration, and sustainability.
