Update from the WPA Annual Meeting 2025

by Glenn Meeks

Dear WPA Members and Friends,

Thank you all for contributing to a remarkably successful 2024 Annual Meeting. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated community that truly makes these gatherings memorable. It's our commitment to continue enhancing the Annual Meeting to enrich both your professional and personal experiences.

We have taken your feedback seriously and are eager to share the steps we're implementing to improve future meetings. A particular issue was the insufficient room block at the Ranchos Las Palmas Hotel, which could not accommodate all attendees. Although our team and the hotel staff managed to arrange additional accommodations at an overflow hotel, unfortunately, some members had to pay holiday rates, significantly higher than the discounted room block rates.

Please note that the WPA does not influence hotel pricing, but we are dedicated to ensuring

that more members can benefit from discounted rates. Consequently, the board of directors proposed shifting the 2025 Annual Meeting dates to January 25-27th. This change in date, voted on and endorsed by the attending members during the 2024 Annual Meeting, will enable the association to secure more rooms for our room block and better accommodate all those who wish to attend.

Thank you for your ongoing support and participation. We look forward to an even more engaging Annual Meeting in 2025.

Warm regards,

Glenn Meeks
