WPA Members Go to Washington
Nearly 40 members of NWPCA actively participated in the NWPCA Fly-In event. Held June 6 and 7, 2023 in Washington DC, it fostered important dialogues with over 40 Congressional representatives and their staff. This engagement ensures effective communication of the pallet industry's priorities and perspectives in critical political discussions that shape our future.
Several WPA members made the trek across the country to engage with lawmakers, including Beatrice and Elias Vasquez, Bruce Kennedy, Justin Hegsted, Justin Karoly, Kathleen Dietrich, and Lindsey Shean-Snowden.
Kathleen Dietrich of Priority Pallet described the overall event as exciting and invigorating.

Equipped with industry talking points and fueled by enthusiasm, NWPCA members embarked on visits to Capitol Hill. This dedicated effort allowed them to directly engage with various congressional representatives and their staff, advocating for the industry's interests and expressing their concerns. The members' interactions were guided by their extensive knowledge and passionate commitment to the wooden pallet industry.
To conclude the event, a closing reception was held at the esteemed Capitol Hill Club, where congressional members US Representatives John James (R-MI) and Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ) were warmly welcomed.
