JUNE 2021

The Pallet Foundation, the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA), the Canadian Wood Pallet and Container Association (CWPCA), and the Western Pallet Association (WPA) recently announced the launch of a newly designed website for Nature's Packaging®. Nature's Packaging’s popular website now serves as the central, one-stop-shop website for the supply chain when seeking fact-based materials on the environmental aspects of wooden pallets to packaging professionals.

"The entire supply chain is now asking questions regarding the sustainability and recyclability of their procurement decisions. Nature’s Packaging’s website provides easily accessible information for wood pallet users, producers and brokers that specifically answers these questions," said Mike Hachtman, NWPCA Chairman and the CEO of 48forty Solutions.

Wooden pallets and containers, through their dominant market share, are already the preferred packaging material, globally. The latest research data supports their sustainability credentials as well. "From forest to factory, we have the right environmental message for today. We have more forests today than we had decades ago. Wood pallets are the most recycled packaging product on the planet, with a 95% recover/recycling rate. And the recent Environmental Product Declaration shows how wood pallets can even have a potential net positive carbon footprint," added Bob Wenner, Chairman of the Pallet Foundation.
