Dear WPA members and friends,

Glenn

Glenn Meeks

Executive Vice President

Western Pallet Association

As you move through this double issue of WPA Magazine, a few themes rise to the surface: reflection, purpose, and forward momentum. The past year asked a lot of the industry: navigating regulation, markets, workforce pressures, and constant change. All while still showing up, staying engaged, and doing the work that matters. The articles in this issue look both outward and inward, reminding us why purpose and taking action matter, especially when conditions are uncertain.

Those same themes shape the 2026 WPA Annual Meeting.

Our theme this year, From Timber to Tech, reflects an industry grounded in tradition but actively evolving into something new. The meeting is designed to honor both sides of that equation. It begins with connecting in the Welcome Reception and Exhibitor Showcase and builds through new events like the WPA Member Cup Golf Tournament, the Women in the Industry Luncheon, and the WPA Poker Tournament. Each unique event creates time for conversations and building relationships that open new opportunities and reinforce long-time friendships.

Knowledge-sharing and dialogue remain central, but so does purpose. The Pallet Foundation Auction reminds us that investing in industry research builds essential long-term credibility.

The Annual Meeting isn’t just a pause from the year ahead. It’s the first step in how we move forward and start sharing our experiences, guiding the next generation, and carrying this industry from timber to tech with intention.

We look forward to welcoming you in 2026.
