See : The Lincoln Town Square

Lincoln is a timeless town and while driving through town , visitors will note the rich history in the community . A large part of that history is Lincoln Square . The unique , historic square is currently being brought back to life .
Kendra Moore , owner of Redeem Construction , has been heavily involved in revitalizing the town square . She sat down with us to discuss these revitalization efforts and what that has been done to bring about
a sense of historic appreciation and new business to the Lincoln community .
“ Four years ago , I had a dream of buying some of the historic buildings on the Lincoln Square , renovating them and reinstating business on the square ,” Moore began . “ I talked to my husband , and we have done just that . We bought seven buildings on the Lincoln Square that were abandoned and dilapidated , and I started work right away to get them back in working order .”
Moore wanted this to be a project that would focus
on bringing commerce and community back to the square , and part of her vision was the restoration of the historic buildings that were being lost to time . She began her project by interviewing residents of Lincoln to determine what was important to them and what types of businesses they would like to see in the area .
As a Lincoln native herself , she had her own vision , but she wanted this project to be something that everyone would benefit from and enjoy watching come to fruition .
“ We began construction on
the buildings one at a time . The goal was to entirely restore one building , lease it out to a local business , and then move on to the next . The first building we completed was leased out and became a Mexican restaurant ( La Villa Mexican Restaurant ). This was perfect , because there really isn ’ t anywhere in Lincoln that was a sit-down restaurant , and certainly not any place where you could sit down and eat Mexican food .”
This first restoration and incorporation of a business has been a success for over a year now , and in that time Moore
