• Food Truck Saturdays at Sunset Berry Farm | Adventure Park and Appalachian Market April 4 at 8 a. m.– 8 p. m.
Food Truck Festival: Taste of Appalachia— First Saturday, April – OctoberAppalachian Marketplace, Community Garden & Adventure Park- Fundraiser for the Sunset Farm Community Garden Program
Join us for Taste of Appalachia, a Food Truck Festival celebrating local food, local producers, and the strength of community— while supporting an important new chapter at Sunset Farm.
This event is a fundraiser for the Community Garden Program at Sunset Farm, led by Farmer Jennifer, who is guiding the farm through a meaningful transition: From farming for the community to farming together as a community. Why This MattersSunset Farm is answering a growing call to address food security by creating space for every family to grow food of their own. The new mission is rooted in the belief that when communities garden together, they grow stronger— both in food security and in connection. By shifting to a shared-growing model, Sunset Farm is working to ensure:• Every family has access to garden space • Knowledge, skills, and food are shared locally • The community is more resilient, connected, and prepared
A Marketplace With PurposeAs part of this vision, Sunset Farm has created the Appalachian Marketplace, a social enterprise that allows:• Community gardeners to sell their excess produce • Local farmers to reach new customers • Local crafters and makers— especially entrepreneurs without access to a brickand-mortar storefront— to sell their goods in a supportive, local setting
What to Expect at the Festival • Food trucks featuring Appalachian-inspired dishes • Locally grown and locally made ingredients • Desserts you won’ t want to miss— bring your sweet tooth for treats filled with our famous, award-winning strawberries • Support for farmers, gardeners, and small businesses • Family-friendly atmosphere • Community garden & adventure park setting • A celebration of local resilience and cooperation
About TicketsPurchasing a ticket is optional and not required to attend. We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy the event. 100 % of ticket proceeds will be used to provide free garden space to families in our community, helping more people grow their own food and become part of a stronger, more connected local food system.
When you attend Taste of Appalachia, you’ re not just enjoying great food— you’ re investing in a stronger, more food-secure future for our community.
