When I asked Kent what he wanted to convey to readers about their unusual and risky passion for ice climbing , he chuckled and said , “ Don ’ t think of us as crazy ; it ’ s more calculated , and we don ’ t have an adrenaline complex . We ’ re seeking to make experiences , not adrenaline . It ’ s an enjoyable way to be outside in a state that I love .”
“ People do a lot of crazy things ,” Parker added , grinning . On a more sincere note Parker stated , “ West Virginia should be proud of its recreational resources ,” and invites readers to contact Water Stone Outdoors , Appalachian Mountain Guides , or New River Mountain
Guides for rock and ice climbing , and other adventures , in the New River Gorge and Summersville areas .
Climbing has been described as magical , inspiring , and rewarding . If you want to know who you really are , climbing will build you and challenge you to confront yourself . It will encourage you to take a glimpse at who you want to become , and create your existence the best way you can imagine .
