Born and raised in Bramwell , West Virginia , Stoker , who has been Mayor of the town for just over 15 years , said that she always knew that this was where she wanted to be . Stoker said that she had a passion for the town and wanted to continue her life here .
“ From childhood , it ’ s been the place I wanted to live and stay ,” she said . “ Like the old show , “ Roots ,” I always knew that this was where my roots were .”
