WVSMA Prepares for In-Person Healthcare Summit : Physician Unity Moves Medicine Through Diversity and Inclusivity

Dear West Virginia State Medical Association ( WVSMA ) members and physician community of our beloved state ,
I believe you share my excitement to get together and make up for our lost time together last year .
Our leadership has affirmed the plan to hold the 2021 WVSMA Healthcare Summit in person and is committed to the highest safety standards . On behalf of the scientific and education committee , I invite you to join us as we learn how physician unity moves medicine through diversity and inclusivity . It will be our journey to explore who we are and what we stand for , share experiences , and discover what unites us while we take care of our community . Our guests include national and state expert leaders who will start the conversation about an inclusive atmosphere where every physician in West Virginia has the opportunity , through our organization , to move medicine in the direction we see best for those we care for .
The summit is scheduled for Friday , August 20-Sunday , August 22 , at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs , WV . The Greenbrier has been our place to learn , connect , relax , bring our families , and create lovely memories . I believe this year will be particularly special as we modernize our event and create new traditions .
