Snow Riders Expands Winter Operations
Snow Riders, located in Harpers Ferry, continues to strengthen West Virginia’ s regional economy and workforce with record growth following the expansion of its winter operations. Now operating year-round, Snow Riders represents a shift from a seasonal recreation business to a 12-month employer supporting over 200 local jobs.
Snow Riders is home to the largest snow tubing hill on the East Coast, featuring 13 lanes and stretching more than 900 feet. The attraction’ s signature experience, the Downhill Disco, combines snow tubing with a nightly LED light and music show that begins at 5:30 p. m., creating a unique winter recreation destination for families across the Mid-Atlantic.
During the 2024 – 2025 season, Snow Riders became the first snow tubing operation on the East Coast to open for the winter, allowing for its longest season to date— exceeding 100 days of operation.
“ As we’ ve grown, our focus has been on creating stability for our team and delivering high-quality experiences for guests,” says Keith Robertson, marketing manager for Snow Riders.“ Being able to operate year-round has had a meaningful
