Tours of the two units that now make up Coplin’ s expanded Mobile Health Unit fleet were offered. Coplin’ s pharmacy delivery van was also present.
The first mobile unit was funded by a grant awarded through the U. S. Health Resources and Services Administration( HRSA) as part of a community-based Rural Health Care Services Outreach program, made possible by appropriated funds from Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin. The second mobile unit was purchased through an HRSA Behavioral Health Expansion grant. Together, these two units will deliver essential medical, dental and behavioral health services directly to communities throughout the Mid- Ohio Valley.
“ With the launch of these units, we are broadening the definition of what it means to deliver care,” says Nichols.“ We are extending our reach, strengthening our impact and aligning our services with the everyday reality of the people we serve.”
