At West Virginia Executive , we are devoted to shining a positive light on the Mountain State , along with the things that make it extraordinary . With this also comes a focus on more serious topics and the responsibility of acknowledging the challenges and opportunities West Virginia has for growth and development so our state can shine even brighter . Our quarterly issues cover topics spanning far and wide , like health care , manufacturing , defense and more .
Once a year , we publish Discover West Virginia ( DWV ), which is our chance to shift our focus from weighty and often more serious topics to the fun tourism side of things , allowing us to reignite the reasons West Virginia is a wonderful place to live and explore .
We take on the role of a tourist in our own state and cover stories that inspire readers to travel somewhere new and try something they may not have considered before . In this issue of DWV , we dove into the themes of mountain matrimony , West Virginia travel , outdoor adventure and event planning .
West Virginia is an epicenter for adventure and beauty in any season . Our team hopes DWV encourages residents and visitors alike to truly soak in the wondrous state we are lucky enough to call home . Working on this issue has inspired me to do just that , and moreover , the opportunity to be on a team dedicated to a mission of highlighting the successes of the Mountain State is a constant reminder of not only the adventure and beauty this state is comprised of but also the genuine beauty of the people and organizations that reside here .
