Letter from the
In celebrating my 40th birthday , followed by the beginning of a new year , I feel inclined to count my blessings . Don ’ t worry , I don ’ t plan on listing 40 of them , but I do want to mention a few personal and professional highlights that I think you can appreciate and maybe even relate to .
On the personal side , my family is definitely a blessing . Our home life is wild , crazy and sometimes — okay , always — a little messy with three small kids , but it ’ s also hilarious and so much fun . The support I receive from my immediate and extended family is an absolute blessing . Without my village , I would be lost .
I have also been blessed with wonderful friends , some lifelong and some more recent . Many of these friends have been impactful and influential in both my personal and professional life . I am thankful they enrich my life and help keep me sane .
I feel blessed that our Executive Ink team is full of competent , motivated and outstanding people . We , like West Virginia , are small but mighty . We have the opportunity to have careers we enjoy and work to improve the state we love .
Since this is our health care issue , I would be remiss if I did not mention that as a state , West Virginia is blessed to have three medical schools . The Mountain State is facing challenges just like the rest of the country , and having these three medical schools , along with many other health carefocused schools and programs , is vital to the well-being of West Virginians .
I have been blessed to grow a wonderful statewide network of clients and contacts , and I will work to continue growing that network for years to come .
I am looking forward to what the new year will hold for our company and our state . I hope 2023 brings success and prosperity to our clients , readers and all who call the Mountain State home . •
