2022 West Virginia Executive
Health Care Hall of Fame
The attitude toward well-being in the Mountain State puts health care workers in a trying position — but one of great importance . Countless forward-thinking individuals work to advance both the field and health of West Virginians every day .
The events of the past two years have been a true testament to health care workers and the resilience they possess . West Virginia Executive ( WVE ) magazine would like to offer its sincerest appreciation and gratitude to all doctors , nurses , administrators , researchers and countless other health care professionals who have stepped up to fight the ongoing coronavirus pandemic .
One of the ways WVE shows appreciation to members of the health care field is through its West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame . This program is dedicated to honoring health care workers who go above and beyond in their careers . Specialists , surgeons , educators , end-oflife care providers , mental health care providers , doctors and nurses have the respect of our state — not just today or during a pandemic — but always .
When WVE created this award program in 2020 , there was no way to know or predict what would happen between then and now . The goal of the Hall of Fame is to showcase health care heroes , whether they are on the front lines as doctors and nurses or working behind the scenes as researchers , entrepreneurs or volunteers . As 2020 changed to 2021 , the Hall of Fame took on new meaning , and the concept of what it means to be a health care hero did , too .
This year ’ s inductees work hard and make an incredible , positive difference in the Mountain State and across the world . This year ’ s members possess admirable traits , like working tirelessly toward the greater good and putting the needs of other above their own while simultaneously impacting their fields .
WVE is proud to introduce the West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame Class of 2022 .
West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame nominees must have been in their current position and lived in the Mountain State for at least two years , have made significant contribution to the state ’ s health care industry and be dedicated to bettering West Virginia for all . Nominations are accepted year-round and may be submitted at wvexecutive . com / healthcare-hall-of-fame /. •
