[ community ] SAMANTHA CART TRACY TOLER Chief executive officer. President. Executive director. Managing partner. These are some of the titles held by the members of the Young Guns Class of 2019—all of whom are leaders in their fields and communities and all of whom are 43 or younger. The West Virginia ideals of hard work and perseverance make the Mountain State a great place to quickly rise through the ranks of an established company, start a new business or affect social change. West Virginia’s best, brightest and youngest are making their mark on a state already rich in history and creating a new type of engaged, meaningful leadership. In honor of the countless Mountaineers working toward a better, stronger West Virginia, every year West Virginia Executive (WVE) magazine recognizes a group of leaders who best exemplify these characteristics. Young Guns are West Virginians ages 43 and younger who have lived and worked in the state for at least two years, excelled in their respective careers and spend a significant amount of time giving back to the communities in which they live. On November 15, 2018, WVE held a reception at the West Virginia Culture Center to honor Young Guns Class of 2019 inductees Matt Boggs, Brandon Dennison, Jason Henderson, Lauren Hendricks, Walker Holloway, Tiffany Kapp, Kyle Mork, Mark Nesselroad, Natalie Roper and Danny Scalise for their collective accomplishments and unique brand of leadership with the help of sponsors Mylan, McKinley Carter Wealth Services, My Huntington and the Cabell-Huntington Convention & Visitors Bureau. This year’s Young Guns photo shoot took place at various locations across Cabell and Wayne counties, including Marshall University, Griffith & Feil Drug, Pullman Square, Blenko Glass Company, Hoops Family Children’s Hospital, The Frederick Hotel and Camden Park, illustrating the vibrant business environment and thriving communities of the Huntington area.
