I have
had the pleasure of working with some phenomenal team members at West Virginia Executive. We recently welcomed two new faces to our team, and while it is wonderful getting to know someone within the confines of an office, it is a lot more fun getting to know them while exploring the state we all love.
Our first out-of-office social media day together was one for the books. We spent the day discovering the incredible people and places that make the Hatfield-McCoy Mountains region so special.
We started the morning with a behind-the-scenes tour at the Tomblin Wildlife Management Area, where we were lucky enough to spot our first elk! From there, we hit the trails and visited a few iconic destinations that showcase some of the beauty and adventure of Southern West Virginia.
After dusting off from our ATV ride, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Broken Axle before stopping by a few local favorites, including Nu-Era Bakery for some well-earned sweet treats.
To solidify our newly bonded team and celebrate America’ s 250th birthday, we braved the summer heat and headed to the world’ s tallest portable Ferris wheel, standing 230 feet tall. While a few of us chose to keep our feet firmly on the ground, the rest climbed aboard the Thomas Jefferson gondola for what just might be the best view in town.
Days like these remind me that the best part of this job is not just telling West Virginia’ s stories but experiencing them alongside an incredible team. We are so excited to officially welcome Ava Kaiser and Sierra Worden to West Virginia Executive, and I cannot wait to share many more adventures across our wild and wonderful state with them. •
