Mark Adkins
Mark Adkins is a partner at regional law firm Bowles Rice LLP. His practice focuses primarily on complex, high-risk commercial litigation in the areas of banking, construction, energy and commercial contract disputes. Adkins is also a registered lobbyist and member of the firm’ s government relations team. Based in Charleston, WV, he serves as chair of the Bowles Rice litigation department, member of the firm’ s AI committee and chief financial officer.
Megan Bevins
Megan Bevins is an editorial and production manager for Executive Ink, LLC. She is a native of Hurricane, WV, and graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and a minor in political science. In her free time, Bevins enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, playing the guitar and hanging out with her Chihuahua, Little Man.
Brooke Brown
Brooke Brown teaches middle school English language arts and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Western Kentucky University and a master’ s degree in teaching from the University of the Cumberlands. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in library science at the University of Kentucky. She lives in Kentucky with her husband, who is from West Virginia, along with their four cats and two dogs.

Connie Conrad
Joining the team in 2019, Connie Conrad is a partner and marketing and advertising associate for Executive Ink, LLC. She holds a bachelor’ s degree in public relations with a minor in communication studies from West Virginia University. Pagett Dusic is a freelance writer and published author from New York who fell in love with West Virginia when she first attended West Virginia University. Jennifer Jett Prezkop
Jennifer Jett Prezkop is the disaster workforce engagement manager for the American Red Cross of Central Appalachia Region. Prior to joining the Red Cross, she spent 15 years in the print media industry as a writer and editor. In her spare time, she is a volunteer for Read Aloud WV and River Ridge Church and supports local cat rescue efforts in Kanawha and Jackson counties.
Sunny Kalwar
A Charleston, WV, native, Sunny Kalwar started traveling early in life with her family, which sparked a lifelong love for adventure. Years later, she met her fiancé, Adam, who had a passion for exploring new places and experiences as well. Now, they travel the world together in search of beautiful places, meaningful moments and unforgettable meals.
