Tucker Community Foundation ’ s “ Run For It ”
Run For It is a program the Tucker Community Foundation developed to support nonprofit organizations in Barbour , Grant , Mineral , Pocahontas , Preston , Randolph , and Tucker counties in WV and Garrett County , MD , and promote healthier lifestyles . Since 2007 , it has generated $ 2.9 million , positively impacting the local economy . The event is a 2k walk and a USATF-certified 5k race during the Leaf Peepers Festival in Davis , WV . In 2023 , it attracted 1,389 participants and raised $ 287,595 , supporting 78 non-profit organizations . This year ’ s race is Saturday , September 28 , at 11 a . m .
