The Fairmont State Foundation is the independent fundraising organization supporting Fairmont State University in Marion County , WV . The
foundation ’ s purpose is to identify , establish and cultivate meaningful relationships with alumni and friends of Fairmont State University to advance the needs of the university ’ s students , faculty , research initiatives and academic programs .
