The annual CASE Voluntary Support of Education ( VSE ) survey measures giving to colleges and universities across the U . S ., including data from six colleges and universities located in West Virginia . According to the 2021 VSE survey , which measured giving between July 1 , 2019 , and June 30 , 2020 , $ 165 million was given to the six institutions across West Virginia .
