Meredith Aliff
Meredith Aliff is a native of Charleston , WV , who currently attends Miami University in Oxford , Ohio . As an upcoming sophomore , she studies journalism and psychology . Aliff was also accepted into a student-run female a capella group on campus , the Miami Misfitz , and spends much of her spare time singing and coming up with new song ideas . During her summer breaks , she returns to Charleston and can often be found with her younger brothers and sisters .
Natalia Anastasovski
Natalia Anastasovski is a freelance writer from southeast Wisconsin and a recent graduate of Arizona State University , where she earned a bachelor ’ s degree in media and mass communications and a minor in women ’ s and gender studies . Anastasovski coaches preschool gymnastics at a Wisconsin gym where she also works as the social media manager . In her free time , she enjoys gardening , cooking and camping . She currently resides in Racine , WI .

Cathy Bonnstetter has covered statewide business news for more than a decade . She also spent many years as an adjunct professional writing instructor at West Virginia University ’ s Reed College of Media . She resides in Morgantown , WV , with her husband , Dennis , and recently published her first children ’ s book , “ Nugget ’ s Haircut .”

Paul Daugherty is the president and CEO of Philanthropy West Virginia . He was recently named the first West Virginian to be a Presidential Leadership Scholar , chosen by the George W . Bush Presidential Center , Clinton Presidential Center , George & Barbara Bush Foundation and LBJ Foundation . He is a 2016-2017 Independent Sector NGen Fellow , 2017 recipient of the National Association for Secretaries of State Award for Extraordinary Efforts to Advance Charitable & Philanthropic Endeavors and 2014 West Virginia Executive Young Gun .
Jean Hardiman
Jean Hardiman is a freelance writer from northern Ohio who moved to West Virginia more than 20 years ago . Previously , she worked as a longtime reporter for The Herald-Dispatch , covering health care , education and economic development throughout the state and region . Hardiman lives in Huntington , WV , with her family , and as a writer , she loves to shine a light on the amazing people and organizations and positive developments in the Mountain State .
