In 2017, it unveiled a drone fleet that allowed com- panies to boost safety and efficiency for operations throughout the region. Pray Construction Renovates Space for New Infor Office Pray Construction Company has part- nered with Infor, a global leader in busi- ness cloud software specialized by indus- try, and Petroplus & Associates, property manager of Laidley Tower in Charleston, to renovate the building’s sixth floor to house Infor’s new office serving U.S. government agencies. Pray Construction is renovating about 12,000 square feet of space for the office, which Infor plans to open in late August. Infor anticipates that it will hire 100 technical employees in Charleston in the disciplines of software engineering, cloud operations and consulting and sup- port services to support its public sector customers. With more than 17,000 em- ployees and over 68,000 customers, Infor offers purpose-built software applica- tions for select industries, including the public sector. “Pray Construction is thrilled to offer our services to Infor and proud to help create the space for Infor’s major cloud operations center in Charleston,” says Mark Grigsby, Pray Construction’s pres- ident. “We look forward to providing Infor with quality workmanship and a professional and responsive project team.” WVSOM Expands Programs with Lease of Montwell Commons Barn The West Virginia School of Osteo- pathic Medicine (WVSOM) is further investing in rural and community health by signing a long-term lease with the Greenbrier Valley Restoration Project to operate programs and activities at the Montwell Commons Barn. The WVSOM Center for Rural and Community Health, in partnership with the Greenbrier County Health Alliance (GCHA), will utilize the barn to deliver new programs, services and opportunities for residents to learn skills and practices to actively improve and manage healthy lives. The barn will be named the Clingman Center for Community Engagement in honor of Gwen Clingman, who was known for her big-hearted devotion to and nourishment of WVSOM students and the Lewisburg community through generous meals served for decades at Clingman’s Market downtown. A shared- use teaching kitchen is under construc- tion with plans in the works to offer cooking classes for families, youth and people living with chronic health condi- tions. Workforce training and culinary medicine programs along with commu- nity engagement and outreach initiatives are also being developed.
