The West Virginia Foster and Adoptive
Care Training (WVFACT) provides man-
dated training to potential foster and
adoptive parents in order to become
a certified foster family. Additionally,
families receive continuous training to
ensure children are in a safe and healthy
environment.
While some of the trainings are held
at the Raleigh County Department of
Health and Human Resources offices on
Neville Street in Beckley, Raleigh General
Hospital’s Training Center will serve as
the secondary site. The training center is
located on the campus of Raleigh General
Hospital on Harper Road in Beckley.

law firm, will relocate and expand its Mor-

in Fairmont, will strengthen its presence
in Morgantown through leasing just over
11,000 square feet on the first floor of
Building 2 for its banking operations
center, which will include mortgage
officers, marketing, compliance, IT and
finance and accounting functions. Both
Steptoe & Johnson and MVB will be
moving into their new locations at West
Ridge Corporate Park during the first
quarter of 2020.
Technology giant Leidos, a Fortune 500
company, will occupy a 33,000-square-
foot tech office building on its own inte-
grated campus site at WestRidge. Geared
toward attracting and retaining the mil-
lennial workforce, their ultramodern
building features expansive windows;
high, open ceilings; polished concrete
floors; a pool table; and a caffeine bar,
while outside amenities include a walking
trail, spacious patio and basketball court.
Menards recently announced that it
will open a 175,000-square-foot flagship
home improvement store in WestRidge
in Spring 2021, and more than 170,000
square feet of additional new shopping
and dining options are currently com-
mitted to the development.
