Italian Manufacturer to Build $10 Million
Plant, Create 30 Jobs in Kearneysville Governor Justice Announces ROXUL to Build
Manufacturing Facility in West Virginia
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (TeMa) North
America plans to build a manufacturing facility in the Burr
Business Park in Kearneysville, WV. The 42,000-square-foot
plant is expected to create 30 jobs. Although TeMa has sales
offices in the U.S., the West Virginia plant will be the compa-
ny’s first manufacturing operation in this country.
The new facility will produce insulation and drainage systems
for residential, commercial and industrial use. Parent company
TeMa Group, based in Italy, is a European leader in the insula-
tion, drainage and geotechnical sector.
“We are proud to announce the opening of our manufactur-
ing facility in West Virginia,” says Luciano Mazzer, president
of TeMa Group. “The development of our products has taken
years of diligent work, dedication and sacrifices that have finally
been repaid by a strong presence in the market with top-level
partners in the U.S. With the opening of a new production plant
in West Virginia, we want to develop new, ecologically friendly
products and become leaders in the U.S. market.” Governor Jim Justice recently announced that ROXUL will build
a $150 million manufacturing plant in the city of Ranson, WV.
Upon completion, the plant is expected to create up to 150 jobs with
positions ranging from the production line to management level.
ROXUL, Inc. is part of the ROCKWOOL Group, North Amer-
ica’s largest producer of stone wool insulation. The West Virginia
facility will be the second facility ROXUL has opened in the U.S.
“West Virginia welcomes ROXUL as the newest internation-
al member to join our business community,” says Justice. “This
achievement is the result of the outstanding teamwork between
ROXUL, our development office, the Jefferson County Development
Authority, Jefferson County Commission and the city of Ranson.”
ROXUL plans to build a 463,000-square-foot manufactur-
ing facility on an estimated 130 acres on the Jefferson Orchards
site in Jefferson County. The plant will produce stone wool in-
sulation for building insulation, customized solutions for in-
dustrial applications, acoustic ceilings and other applications.
An official ground breaking will take place in October 2017,
and construction is expected to be completed by early 2020.
