Jean Hardiman
Jean Hardiman moved from northern Ohio to West Virginia in
1998 for her first newspaper job. When the time came to leave, she
chose to stay close to the people and beauty she’d grown to love.
Hardiman worked for The Herald Dispatch for 17 years and now
writes for publications, businesses and organizations throughout the
region. She lives in Huntington with her husband and daughters.
Jeffrey Lusk
Jeffrey Lusk is the executive director of the Hatfield-
McCoy Regional Recreation Authority, the multicounty
economic development agency in charge of managing the
Hatfield McCoy Trail System in Southern West Virginia.
His formal education includes a master’s degree in public
administration from Marshall University and undergraduate
degrees from Penn State University and West Virginia
University Institute of Technology. Lusk is a member of West
Virginia Executive magazine’s Young Guns Class of 2003.
Parween Mascari
Parween Mascari is a lawyer with Bailey & Glasser LLP, executive
director of the West Virginia Farmers Market Association and
owner of West Virginia market stores at Snowshoe Mountain
Resort. Mascari serves on boards and committees for the Snowshoe
Foundation, Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council, Brickstreet
Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, West Virginia
University College of Law, Philanthropy West Virginia and the
Benedum Foundation.
Maggie Matsko
Maggie Matsko is the communications and development specialist
for the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. She is a graduate
of West Virginia University, where she received her bachelor’s
and master’s degrees in journalism. A freelance writer for West
Virginia Executive magazine, she enjoys crafting stories about her
former home among the hills. Matsko resides in Owensboro, KY.
Lisa Johnson
Lisa Johnson is a
graduate of Marshall
University, where she
received her bachelor’s
degree in graphic
design. Johnson has
been a designer on the
West Virginia Executive
team for more than 10
years. In her spare time, she is an active member
of the Nitro Moose Lodge, and she loves
couponing. She lives in Nitro with her husband,
Jesse, and their cats, Princess and Blackjack. She

Mark Lamborn
Mark Lamborn is
a partner and vice
president of business
development at
Executive Ink, LLC, the
publishing company
for West Virginia
Executive magazine and
its sister publications.
Originally from Albuquerque, NM, he moved
t o West Virginia in 1991. He has more than
30 years of sales management experience and
has been part of the magazine’s growth since

Tracy Toler
Tracy Toler scaled
Seneca Rocks at the
age of 5 and has been
reaching new heights
ever since. Through
his business, Tracy A.
Toler Photography, he
has served as creative
director and feature
photographer for many of the region’s largest
magazines. Known as Mr. McGyver, he can
fix anything with a bobby pin, rubber band
or Swiss Army knife, which comes in handy
at home with his two daughters. Toler may be

Katlin Swisher
Katlin Swisher is the communications specialist for the Eberly
College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University (WVU).
Originally from Hurricane, WV, she graduated as a summa cum
laude and university honors scholar with a bachelor’s degree in
journalism in 2012, and she earned a master’s degree in higher
education administration in 2014. She is currently pursuing a
doctor of education in higher education administration at WVU.
