received a total of 15 Telly Awards for television production
work associated with campaigns produced for Pikeville Medical

President and CEO Jeff Barnes. “Having our work recognized
on a national stage is valuable as we continue to expand our

providers throughout the country.”
Davis & Elkins College Awarded NetVUE Grant
Davis & Elkins College (D&E) has been awarded a grant
from the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education
(NetVUE) to help strengthen and expand its four-year honors
program. The initial $24,817 award will fund the program
for three years, and an additional $24,817 will be awarded
in 2021 when the college raises matching funds to sustain the
program in the future.
The D&E honors program, initiated in 2019, pairs exceptional
students and faculty with a focus on integrating vocational discernment,
community and professional engagement and critical
thinking through seminar courses, service learning and intraand
extracurricular activities with collaborative support from
the offices of academic affairs, career services and student life.
The program offers students the opportunity to take a sequence
of courses that embody the mission of the college through facilitating
students’ preparation for thoughtful engagement within
their desired vocation.
The NetVUE grant will allow the program to expand by
including student scholarships, retreats and learning events,
vocation evaluations, faculty workshops and an on-campus
lecture series.
