West Virginia Executive Spring/Summer 2020 | Page 6

uinn's uill In March, I turned 2 years old, and it has been another big year for me. The most exciting news I have to share is that Mommy and Daddy didn’t just get me one new brother. They got me two—and they match! My baby brothers, Cavan and Kieran, were born on January 24, and I love helping take care of them. Right after Mommy had the babies, a pesky virus called COVID-19 messed everything up, but I didn’t mind because Mommy got to stay home with the babies and me for months. Some days she said she loved it, and other days she said she wanted to go back to work. Thankfully, we did get some travel in before the babies came along. In April 2019, I took my first trip to New Jersey and New York, where I got to meet a bunch—which is one of my favorite words—of my family for the first time. We spent time with my nonna’s family in New Jersey before attending a wedding for Mommy’s cousin with all my papa’s family. In August, I was lucky enough to get to visit The Greenbrier twice in one month, the first time for the Executive Ink retreat and again the following week for the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting and Business Summit with Aunt Bebe and Uncle Joe. In September, I took my first trip to Snowshoe Mountain Resort for the 2019 Governor’s Conference on Tourism, and I had so much fun with all that room to run. My nonna and papa got to come with us and told me stories about all the trips they have made to Snowshoe over the years. Aside from my tour of West Virginia, I have been busy learning all sorts of things, but my favorite is talking up a storm and repeating everything my mommy says. Anyone who knows my mommy knows she can be a bit of a social butterfly, and it seems the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. I am looking forward to getting back on the road with Mommy as things get back to normal and seeing what else I can learn. Until next year! • XOXO, Quinn Nicole 4 WEST VIRGINIA EXECUTIVE
