2020 West Virginia
Health Care Hall of Fame
Induction
In 2020, West Virginia Executive launched its fourth awards
program, the West Virginia Health Care Hall of Fame, to
recognize those who go above and beyond the call of duty in
health care and its supporting industries.
The staff put out a call for nominations for surgeons, doctors,
nurses, hospital administrators, educators, researchers, scientists,
innovators and entrepreneurs who have been in their current
position and lived in West Virginia for at least two years and
have made a significant contribution to the field of health care,
demonstrating their unmistakable passion for making the
Mountain State a better, healthier and happier place to live.
From the nominations, 10 inaugural inductees were chosen.
These pioneers were honored at a reception on March 3, 2020,
at the West Virginia Culture Center, where a large crowd
of thankful peers, family, friends and coworkers gathered
to show their appreciation, admiration and respect. While
the inductees are diverse in specialty, background and
practice, they all share a fierce love for West Virginia and
a deep desire to improve the quality of life of her people.
