West Virginia has a love for community and family that is unmatched, a sentiment voiced by many of the inductees of the West Virginia Executive( WVE) Health Care Hall of Fame Class of 2025. On February 25, at the University of Charleston rotunda, WVE recognized individuals who have made a remarkable impact on the field of health care in West Virginia. The reception provided an opportunity for friends, family and members of the health care community to honor the inductees.
WVE proudly introduces this year’ s Health Care Hall of Fame class: Dara P. Aliff, D. O., FACOG, and Michael Lao, M. D., co-owners of Premier Women’ s Health Specialists; Karen L. Bowling, president and CEO of WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital and executive vice president of government affairs for WVU Medicine; Steven Eshenaur, D. O., MBA, executive director and health officer of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department; Mark Johnson, M. D., surgeon and medical director of general surgery service line at Mon Health Medical Center; Lisa King
Leach, CEO of Southern West Virginia Health System; Jason Landers, president of Highmark Health Options West Virginia; Leslie Lawson, chief operating officer of WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals; David L. Ramsey, president and CEO of Vandalia Health; Gary O. Rankin, professor, chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and vice dean for basic sciences at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine; and Gerry Stover, executive vice president of West Virginia Academy of Family Physicians.
