Introducing the Sharp Shooters Class of 2024

TO BE A SHARP SHOOTER means being a determined , hardworking leader in the Mountain State ’ s business community . This year , West Virginia Executive ( WVE ) has gathered 10 individuals who have taken significant strides in their fields to celebrate their accomplishments . The passion and long-term commitment of these West Virginians has helped to move the state forward in innovation and success . Their perseverance and dedication will create a better , more prosperous place where citizens can establish solid roots for generations to come .
Sharp Shooters must be 43 years or older , have lived and worked in West Virginia for over five years , have made a significant impact in their career field and have given back to their community by being active participants in community service and philanthropic efforts .
This year ’ s Sharp Shooters are Mara Boggs , state director and deputy chief of staff for U . S . Senator Joe Manchin ; Jason Boyd , transportation market leader for The Thrasher Group , Inc .; Brandon Doerner , director of development for VDM Management Group ; Annette Gavin Bates , CEO of the Jefferson County Convention & Visitors Bureau ; Chad Mildren , EVP and chief consumer banking officer for
United Bank ; Judy Moore , deputy director of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority and executive director of the WV Hive Network ; Tim O ’ Neal , global operations director for operational excellence and leveraged services for Dow ; Lea Ridenhour , chief advancement officer at The Linsly School ; Marty Roth , president of University of Charleston ; and Liz Vitullo , assistant vice president and assistant dean of West Virginia University .
