FCX Systems Announces Metal Fabrication Division
FCX Systems , Inc ., a leading manufacturer of frequency converters based in Morgantown , WV , is expanding its operations to accommodate complete metal fabrication capabilities in-house . The completed 4,000-square-foot facility will provide capacity for additional services across the company as FCX continues to see an increasing demand in the metal fabrication industry .
The facility will house state-of-the-art equipment , including a CNC laser cutter , plasma cutter , hydraulic press brake , turret punch and a complete powder coating system . The advanced equipment
will let FCX achieve maximum productivity with a faster turnaround .
“ The expansion into metal fabrication will allow FCX to control quality , lead times and costs ,” says Christine Murphy , FCX president . “ Our team is excited about the new division , which represents a commitment to our customers .”
The metal fabrication facility will be fully operational by mid-summer . FCX will hire up to 10 new employees .
E & H Manufacturing Announces Expansion
E & H Manufacturing , Inc . is announcing the expansion of its stress-laminated timber bridge line . It recently introduced the new line at the EXPO , coordinated by the Contractors Association of West Virginia .
“ We have expanded our timber bridge line from two to seven models ,” says David Haney , president of E & H Manufacturing . “ We have noticed increased interest in these products and just felt it was the right time to expand our line .”
The bridges are pre-engineered and
prefabricated , stress-laminated timber bridges certified to carry a maximum load of up to 80,000 pounds . Several models meet American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials specifications .
The E & H bridges are made from CCA-treated lumber encased in a steel channel . The patented shear key design allows bridges to operate as a single , solid structure with weight distributed evenly across the entire bridge . Each bridge is designed for fast , easy installation with a dozer , excavator or boom truck .
This timber bridge system meets and exceeds best management practices for stream crossings by minimizing stream siltation and erosion during installation , use and removal .
