Health Care Hall of Fame Induction

Health care in the Mountain State has reached new heights , which is evident in this year ’ s West Virginia Executive ( WVE ) Health Care Hall of Fame Class of 2022 . These pioneers are devoted to making a positive impact in health care and its supporting organizations .
WVE started this award program in 2020 and has continued to recognize individuals going above and beyond in their respective fields ever since . On February 22 , 2022 , a reception was held at the Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West to celebrate the award winners . It was also an opportunity for guests to network and join together to recognize accomplishments in health care . The collaborative environment provided space for inspirational conversations to be shared among the event attendees .
None were more passionate than the inductees themselves . Each brings a diverse skillset to West Virginia , which creates forward momentum in the state . They have established purpose-driven careers with the goal of making a difference in the lives of others . The class has a deep commitment to expanding its reach and bringing health care in the Mountain State to the next level .
The 2022 WVE Health Care Hall of Fame inductees are :
Doug Bentz , CEO of Roane General Hospital ; Catherine Chua , D . O ., FAAFP , FNMN , CPE , chief medical officer and incident commander of Davis Health System ; Joseph Deegan , business development liaison for Thomas Health ; Lynne Fruth , president of Fruth Pharmacy ; Jeff Knight , president and CEO of The Health Plan ; Chad Lavender , M . D ., assistant professor and orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon at Marshall Health ; Larry Pack , CEO of Stonerise ; Ali Rezai , M . D ., associate dean and vice president of neuroscience , John D . Rockefeller IV chair in neuroscience and executive chair of the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute at West Virginia University ; Tom Takubo , D . O ., chief of pulmonary and critical care medicine at Charleston Area Medical Center ; and Kevin Yingling , RPh , M . D ., FACP , CEO of Mountain Health Network and president of Cabell Huntington Hospital and St . Mary ’ s Medical Center .
Nominations for the WVE Health Care Hall of Fame are accepted for changemakers who have been in their current position and lived in West Virginia for at least two years and have made a significant contribution to the state ’ s health care industry .
