I turned three in March , marking the beginning of another weird year . As we all know , 2020 was an interesting time . I know COVID-19 caused a lot of problems , but from my perspective , it wasn ’ t all bad .
Normally , the brothers — as I like to call them — and I would have traveled the state and attended all of Mommy ’ s conferences with her . Instead , we spent time at home , exploring the woods , bouncing in the bounce house , feeding and cleaning up after the horses at Nonna and Papa ’ s farm and taking wagon rides with Mawmaw and Pawpaw .
My brothers , Cavan and Kieran , celebrated their first birthday in January . They are walking and getting into everything . They took a trip in April with Mommy and Daddy to stay at River Expeditions in Fayetteville . While they were there , they hiked the Kaymoor Miners Trail . The hike starts off with 1
mile down a rocky mountain side , followed by 821 steps to the bottom where the old town was . The downhill trek was hard , but the uphill hike was very challenging with the 25-pound brothers on their backs .
My other exciting news is that our family is growing again — by two . Aunt BeBe and Uncle Joe are expecting their second set of twins in September — more boys ! Not only that , but our work family is growing , too . West Virginia Executive ’ s editor in chief , Samantha Cart , and her husband , Caleb , will be welcoming the newest Executive Ink baby this October . I am so excited about having so many new friends to play with . Until next year ! •
XOXO , Quinn Nicole
