The senior division grand prize winner received an all-ex- pense-paid trip to the international fair to compete for $1.4 million in scholarships and cash prizes. A second regional fair competitor received an all-expense-paid trip to the internation- al fair as an observer.  West Liberty University Regional Science & Engineering Fair Inspires Scientific Discovery This spring, West Liberty University (WLU) and event spon- sor Southwestern Energy hosted the annual West Liberty Re- gional Science & Engineering Fair. “West Liberty University’s College of Sciences is pleased to continue to offer this annual fair as an active way to encour- age youngsters to get involved in scientific investigation and experience the thrill of scientific discovery,” says Dr. Zacha- ry Loughman, an associate professor of biology, zoology and ecology at WLU. “We thank Southwestern Energy for its con- tinued support.” According to Amy Dobkin, Southwestern Energy’s com- munity relations manager, the company was happy to partner with the university in this important tradition. “Southwestern Energy is impressed with West Liberty’s work and the quality of its science education,” she says.
