of development at Marshall University. McPhail
holds a bachelor’s degree in history and govern-

Martha Moore
Martha Moore is the
senior director for policy
analysis and economics at
the American Chemistry
Council, where she ana-
lyzes the impact of policy
initiatives and energy
trends on the chemical industry and directs re-
search. She holds a master’s degree in economics
from Indiana University and is a member of the
National Association for Business Economics
and the U.S. Association for Energy Economics.
Jamie Null
Jamie Null is the exec-
utive director for the
Mercer County Conven-
tion & Visitors Bureau.
An award- winning jour-
nalist with the Bluefield
Daily Telegraph, she
joined the tourism industry in 2014. A grad-
uate of both Bluefield College and Concord
University, she holds bachelor’s degrees in print
journalism and English literature and enjoys
running, traveling and promoting West Virginia.
Bill Raney
Bill Raney is president of
the West Virginia Coal
Association. A native of
Princeton, WV, he holds
a bachelor’s degree in
biology and an MBA
from West Virginia Uni-
versity. He has held various positions in the coal
industry, including surface mine inspector,
supervisor, administrative assistant and assis-
tant chief. Raney is an active volunteer in his
community of South Charleston, where he lives
with his wife, Pam.
Natalie Roper
Natalie Roper is the ex-
ecutive director of Gen-
eration West Virginia,
leading the organiza-
tion’s efforts to attract,
retain and advance young
talent in the Mountain
State. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees
in public policy from the University of Virginia
and is a graduate of Leadership West Virginia.
A Mountaineer by choice, Roper is motivated
each day to help make the state a place where
the next generation can choose to stay.
Samantha Smith
Samantha Smith is the
director of marketing
and communications for
the West Virginia De-
partment of Commerce.
A native of Elkins, WV,
and graduate of Davis &
Elkins College, she spent most of her career in
the newspaper industry serving as sales director
at The Inter-Mountain, Charleston Newspapers
and the West Virginia Press Association. Smith
lives in Charleston, WV, with her husband
and children.
Katlin Swisher
Katlin Swisher, a native
of Hurricane, WV, is the
interim director of commu-
nications and marketing
for the Eberly College
of Arts and Sciences at
West Virginia University
(WVU). She holds a bachelor’s degree in public
relations and a master’s degree in higher educa-
tion administration from WVU and is currently
pursuing a doctor of education in higher educa-
tion administration.
Jennifer Vieweg
Jennifer Vieweg is the cor-
porate affairs manager
at Greylock Energy. She
holds a bachelor’s degree
in communications from
Florida State University
and a master’s degree in
communication studies from Marshall University.
She is currently pursuing a doctorate of execu-
tive leadership from the University of Charleston.
Vieweg serves on the board of the YWCA Charles-
ton, Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas
Association and Chemical Alliance Zone.

Jessica Wintz-Adams is a
junior account executive
for Orion Strategies. She
holds bachelor’s degrees
in public relations and
political science from
Marshall University and is a graduate of the
Leadership West Virginia Class of 2015. Wintz-
Adams is an active volunteer with Charleston
Main Street (CMS) East and was named a CMS
East End Volunteer of the Year in 2016.
