The new office in Wise, VA, was completed in November 2016, and the Fairmont, WV, office was completed in early April 2017. These locations join Charleston, WV, and the main branch in Summersville, WV, in providing increased employment opportunities throughout the Appalachian region. “Building on our 15-year history, our vision is to be the premier provider of quality labor for the coal industry,” says President and Owner Michael Grose. “With two new offices, we could not feel more fortunate to get so many hard- working miners back to work.” Shale Crescent USA Promotes Mid-Ohio Valley at World Petrochemical Conference Shale Crescent USA, a nonprof- it group of business and community leaders from Ohio and West Virginia, attended the World Petrochemical Con- ference in Houston, Texas, earlier this year to promote the Mid-Ohio Valley as a premier location for high-energy intensive manufacturing industries to expand or relocate. The World Petrochemical Conference, an international event, drew in more than 1,400 delegates from more than 600 com- panies and 50 countries to attend the con- ference. Attendees were high-level decision makers representing the petrochemical, chemical, energy and oil and gas manu- facturing industries. According to Greg Kozera, marketing director for Shale Crescent USA, the or- ganization has been aggressively market- ing the region to high-energy intensive manufacturing industries through print, radio and online mediums. “The World Petrochemical Conference was the first time our organization has been face to face with so many prospects that have the authority to bring their company to the Shale Crescent USA region,” says Kozera. “We were excited to be talking to the decision makers. The sales process for getting a company to come here is a long one, typically taking three years or more and requiring numerous contacts. We were excited to start that process in earnest in Houston.” Ply Gem Building Products Awarded Excellence in Industrial Energy Efficiency M E E T M E AT WWW.OGLEBAY.COM With state-of-the-art technology and $10 million in renovations and enhancements, you’ll find Oglebay has something on the menu for every budget.
