Capitol Market Helps Educate Children on Local Agriculture and Nutrition
Capitol Market brings family fun and learning together with children’ s programming featuring engaging educational signage and a brand-new kids’ activity book. The initiative, sponsored by Encova Insurance, is designed to spark curiosity about local agriculture, nutrition and the natural world.
Wild Wonders of West Virginia introduces children to fascinating facts about native plants and animals through colorful, easy-to-read signs placed inside Capitol Market. From fruit-bearing trees to West Virginia wildlife, the signage encourages families to explore and discover the rich biodiversity of the Mountain State.
The companion activity book extends the experience by offering young visitors an interactive way to engage with the market during their visit, turning a simple trip into a hands-on adventure.
